A friend of mine is experiencing the following problem:

I have an autocom system on my bike and had issues with the phone connection through the sat nav to the autocom Bluetooth. Although I can hear conversation clearly my voice is broken up at the other end.
If I remove the sat nav and just connect my phone to the autocom Bluetooth its as clear as a bell... ( but then I can't use the option of making calls via the sat nav, which is one of the reasons I bought that one).

He has Autocom active plus with the bluetooth attachment and using the Garmin Zumo 660.

Anyone had this issue, and do you have a resolution.

Any help gratefully received

I had similar problems with my Zumo 660 for ages in that when my iPhone was connected to it by Bluetooth the audio into the wired headset in my helmet was unintelligeble. I'm not sure if you are using a wired headset but if you are try splitting the audio output from the Zumo so that your phone audio is coming via the Autocom Bluetooth module rather than the normal cable connection. Follow the instructions in the following link and ensure that on the Select Audio Out page you have Headphone selected.

Don't ask me why but this completely resolved my problems and the phone now works perfectly via the Zumo 660. My mate had the same problem and it sorted it for him too. Good luck!

Cheers Ally,

I have passed on your comments. Will let you know if this resolves the issue.

Emailed today, and he has it working by:

Have blue toothed the phone to the zumo, and blue toothed the zumo to the autocom. Then hard wired audio and microphone through an autocom 1299 via autocom Aux 2 and told the zumo to use wired headset and not bluetooth for the phone.

Thanks for the help Ally
