Hi,
have had a 660 for about 2 yrs on my 800GS. Been largely trouble free until recently when it has become a right in the a$$
In summary, the unit appears to brick. Not responding to anything until you do a soft rest (battery out and in) or a hard reset (hold bottom right corner etc....). The unit then switches itself on for about 30 second then bricks again.
I suspected a dead battery which wasn't taking any charge so I sourced a new battery and the same thing has happened.
So, I am wondering if the battery discharges if the unit is left in the cradle to the extent that the unit won't power up (although I would assume it should run from the bike power when the ignition is on).
Have checked the cradle and it is delivering power. Have checked both batteries (as I obtained a desktop charger from Garmin).
This is probably the poorest problem description ever posted but hopefully someone can decipher my ramblings and shed some light.
Thanks
Rod
