Zumo Dropping Route

New Zumo 550 arrived on Wedensday so today was its first trial. Initially it was good showing me the route I had planned from home to Donegal.however, then the problem started. Once into the Donegal area the route continually dropped and I received the notice "Unable to calculate route to destination". If I went through the whole set-up again it gave me the route but dropped again within 30seconds.Eventually I just gave up.
Any ideas folks.
I am heading down to Southern Ireland with a group in two weeks. I would hate this to happen again as I am assisting in leading the group.
The route was formulated on my pc.
 
Sounds very odd. If you simulate driving the route, does the same thing happen? Does it happen on a particular road section?

Can you make sure you're running the latest BIOS? It should be ver 3.30 for the Zumo 550.

I'd also try re-uploading the maps for Ireland to the device, if you received them on DVD.

Can you give us a copy of the route, or describe it so we can re-create it?
