Well sorta,Found a Zumo 550 new for £249.0 in a uk store major retailer but looks like its end of line stock.

Question is how do i find out how old it is, does it matter,is it a bargain ,and do i get a free update to maps when i buy it.

(its on hold out the back room in the store till tomorrow so need to get off me but in the morning.)

Cheers

Iirc as long as it has never been registered, when you first register it with Garmin it will be automatically updated to the 2012 maps

Sounds like a good deal, which retailer if you don't mind me asking?

The NuMaps Guarantee is valid for 90 days after the unit gets it's first satellite fix. If it's been used for demo purposes then you might have trouble getting the map updates. However, with a receipt, or just an explanation on the phone, I reckon Garmin would do the decent thing and reinstate the 90 day option. If it's been sold and then returned to the store having been used, or for that matter registered, then it's probably a different matter.

Good find by the sounds of things :clap

Even if you can't get an update NuMaps Lifetime Updates are only around £50 from places like Pentagon GPS and Handtec
