Zumo Mount- Vibration

Just took delivery of Zumo 550. HAve read about standard mount causing vibrations to the unit which can cause failure or damage.

Have looked at Touratech lackable mount, £132, eh no thanks.

Is it true about vibrations as I have not been out on the bike yet, and if so, is there a cheaper alternative out there or have any fellow tossers come up with a cheap homemade solution.

I've had my zumo 550 about 5 months. Not had an issue with vibration at all. Apart from that stupid locking screw that comes with it. Soon change that.

MAybe its just Touratech trying to sell their products.

Never a problem with the standard mount...You need to replace that 'stupid screw' with one of these:

The screw it out a bit more so you can chuck it away. Best thing for the little POS.

IIRC it's just held at that point by a tiny rubber O-ring. Keep unscrewing and it'll come out.

It's a mystery to me, one minute mine was there, the next it was gone!
