zumo new to me

Can someone give me some advice as to the accessories on the 550 zumo,,does this come with a power cable that can be plugged directly into the power sockets on a 1200 adv ?or is some kind of adapter needed

Either hard-wire to the bike or get a plug (as shown) to fit the socket on your bike (simplest method, especially if you want to remove mounting unit from bike)) Any decent auto accessory shop or auto electrical workshop should have them. One of the best sources for the plugs is a John Deere agri outlet. Seal the end of the plug where the wire goes in against the wet.

Thanks ,,i take it that you plug the car kit (the cigarette socket in a car)straight into that.

The plug in the picture is to connect to the bare wires at the end of the cable to the motorcycle mount that Garmin supply with the Zumo so you can plug it into a BMW socket on the bike. This is if you don't want to hard wire the motorcycle mount to the bikes battery

also if its more convienent, you can purchase one from any truck dealership. nobody seems to call it the same, din plug, accessory plug, ect, ect.
