Hi.
The volume I get from my phone is very poor. Music and directions are ok. Can this be improved with the internal volume control within my Autocom ? Phoned Autocom who said to improve the volume would be major work including changing components. Spoke to Autocom at the NEC, they said it was just a simple tweek. Confused.
Incidentally I'm on my third Zumo in 13 months.
Thanks in anticipation.........F

Third Zumo?

.....on your third Zumo in 13 months?.........I had not considered them to be a consumable item!.....but clearly I'm wrong........and worried!!

I have just bought a Zumo 550.........is that the same as the 3 you have had?

.....so why 3?......explain....frighten me!.....preferably, re-assure me!

...but as they say...third time lucky!

Safe riding

The way it was explained to me, is that the phone audio is treated like an aux out device, whenever you speak into the mic (or wind noise activates it), Autocom cuts back the volume on it's aux ports so it all goes quiet - normally used for cutting back music when rider-pillion is used. Of course this is no good for phone use! There is a lead you can use which resolves this issue, but I think it's around £100 (maybe it was the Bluetooth module..?)

Something like that anyway...!

Thanks for the info. 100 notes sounds a tad exspensive. Who needs a phone when riding anyway. And yes Spotless Three in thirteen months. First two died, tried all the fixes but to no avail. All credit to Garmin who replaced the first one with a brand new unit with all the kit. And the second with a fully reconditioned one.....F
