Zumo problem, help needed...

Just updated zumo to v4 using the web update program.
Seemed to be updating find and ran its installation course but when It went to restart all i got is the splash screen for 4 secs then unit turns back off by itself.
Keeps doing this everytime I turn unit on.
Cannot connect zumo to pc and soft reset doesnt work either.

Any help appreciated as I am supposed to be using sat nav tomorrow for work.

Have you tried removing and replacing the battery?

just tried that now, no joy
tried powering it up in its mount, no good either.
I know the battery is charged also.

Any more ideas?

Battery in/out fixed mine but there are other reports on here that had the same outcome as you...

I believe the next step is to arrange to return it to Garmin for a fix/replacement..

I had the same problem with mine when I tried to change the splash screen to one of my own photos. I ended up connecting to PC, deleting that particular picture from the SD card so it couldn't use it, and all has been fine ever since.

Whether this was just coincidental or not I don't know, but it hasn't recurred even though I now have another of my own photos as the splash screen.

(Edit: just noticed that you can't connect Zumo to PC. You could try removing the picture via an SD card reader. However, if you haven't changed the splash screen image, I think it's unlikely to be the problem. Sorry.)
