Text messages received/sent on Zumo screen
You may have a point there with regard to the major distraction upon reading text messages on screen whilst riding. However, reading directions on screen is also a distraction! You may say it's not a problem with listening to voice commands but what about riders who may be deaf or hard of hearing! Don't forget they need to rely on visual info mostly! Of course, if being sensible, they would pull over, read, reply, send and ride away as I would! Cheers!
A friend's Nuvi actually 'speaks' the text message, ISTR.
Although, while riding, I personally think it's a major distraction.
