Zumo volume

i have heard the zumo can be quite quiet with older autocom units and really loud with the newer autocoms?

Now would any of you have had experience of this or know any work arounds to make sure the volume is at good levels?

As much advice or comments as possible that would be great.

Dont have a Autocom, i have an itaride instead, i use mine in conjunction with an Amplirider, can turn it up or down at will
