Would recommend the Migsel mount which places the unit rightin your eyeline rather than uses the supplied mount on the handlebars.

You can connect direct to the battery using the supplied fued lead, but this means it's powered all the time, or alternately piggy back off the rear of one of the bikes accessory sockets.

i'd get the proper connector (do a search) from bmw & plumb it into the fitted sat nav socket. neatest solution IMO.

the zumo i fitted came with all mountings needed i think, just clamps onto the screen mounting bar. i just wired it.

What His Blingness says. :bow

I'll take a photo or two later on today and post them to show how mine is done.

Cookie, your talking about the screen mounting bar for a GSA aren't you?

Totally agree you can't go wrong with this mount. Really easy to see for both rider and pillion. A bit expensive for what it is but worth it:thumb

Michel (Migsel) has taken on the ex Motorrad Concepts design of GPS mount now......I actually sold an MC mount in favour of Migsel's original mount which attaches to the same location (photo below) as the MC mount fouled my after-market screen (and I beleive reduces the lowest adjustment of the standard screen)...see this thread:

Latest Migsel mount:

As promised. :thumb2 I have the extra beak power socket added, but you can use the plug hidden around the headstock if need be. Pic 4 shows the riders eye view as best as possible.
