Garmin V9 instalation problems?

Got my update disc but having problems updating Mapsource. Gone through the wizard and used codes supplied on yellow slip with originlal V8 CD. Tells me I've done everything then when I launch Mapsource it tells me V9 is locked. I go through process of unlocking it, it tells me I've successfully unlocked maps on MapSource disc and gives me the option to register (which I've already done). Fine, but nothing appears to have changed on MapSource eg no M6 toll road, but under Help: About MapSource: Product info it lists V8 and V9 !

Next time I open Mapsource, exactly the same thing happens.

Obviously beign stupid. But what am I doing wrong? Anyone help?

Do I need to uninstal everything and try again - if so do I need to install V8 first then update with V9?

You need a new unlock code for this map set.

You have to go to Garmin and get the new code. Either you are entitled to free upgrade or it will cost you about £45.
