Probably spray a bit of WD40 or other water dispersant into switch.Allow it to dry and check again. These are 2 possible things to try. Merrycans swear by dielectric grease in all electrical connections.To prevent similiar problems in the future. P.P.S. My ps was longer than the answer.

That's covered the source of supply .... If not, pop down to Halfords and buy a Stebel Nautilus Compact for £15 or so ....
