City Navigator NT v9 problem

Hi, we have a Zumo 550 and it came with City Navigator NT v9...problem is no matter what we try we cannot get it to load onto the pc. We have messages that say " corrupt disk" or "disk not formatted" or else it simply doesn't seem to recognise that there's a disk in the drive! Any help out there? many thanks! :nenau
 
Could be a bad disk - but a replacment is free via the Garmin website.
Since the software is supplied on a DVD, I assume that you are trying to load it into a DVD drive rather than a CD drive.
Is your PC running Windows Vista?
 
Hi John, no we have Windows XP.And only one "drive" as well (sorry not too techy minded though I do try!)but it is for DVD's as well as cd's.
Do you know if the mapping can simply be downloaded from the Garmin website instead of loading an actual disk?

No it can't. Phone customer help at Romsey or send an e-mail. Ask for another disc. It doesn't matter which disc you use because the unlock code is GPSR specific.
