Let's get the ball rolling - as they say.

The Somme and Ypres Battlefields are only an hour or so away from Calais, there's a lot to see, and more if you know where to look. Normandy, Verdun, Market Garden and The Bulge (Wacht am Rhine) etc. are aslo easilly accesible and full of history. Input from our cousins in the Colonies would be most welcome regarding Civil War sites and memorials.
