Mapsource Update 6.13.4 to 6.13.5

Thanks for that, should have had an email of garmin about updates!!
 
Changes made from version 6.13.4 to 6.13.5:

* Fixed announcing of extra via points on some USB units
* Fixed incorrect waypoint names when exporting point to point routes
* Fixed incorrect display of Asian language labels
* Fixed incorrect import of user data in Asian languages
* Fixed recognition of SD cards initialized in a marine unit

Sadly just fixes, nothing new :(
 
Thanks for the heads up Jaws100, funny I try to keep ahead of updates through the Mapsource toolbar and even this afternoon their link to updates on the toolbar said there were none. Managed manually through your link though, cheers for that, :beer:
 
*** WARNING ****

There is a bug reported in this release:
When the button (binoculars) "FIND NEAREST PLACES" is selected, Mapsource will shut down.

Please report your error report to: techsupp@garmin.com
 
So I am trying to figure out some things here..

On the USA Zumo forums, 2 more persons did not have any problem.
My unit shuts off (Dutch language installed) as wel as a Belgium person (Dutch too).
So first I thought it might be a language issue.

But now you report that the bug comes up in the UK versions as well.

I am most curious about the 4 machines from Steve. In what way are they different that makes only the 4th one crash??

Mine is a uk version, hope that helps somehow, emailed the tech dept at garmin, will wait for an answer :confused:

Interesting. It seems it's not the machines. It seems to be related to whichever map tiles are currently displayed on the screen.

If the screen is showing the UK, no problems. If I move the map across to Europe, and then Find Nearest Places, it gives the error.

Germany - Brittan - USA (other mapset) - Italy: No problem
Holland - Belgium - Norway : crash!!!

Very strange...

Mine crashes on germany as well :spitfire

Im off to Rüdesheim Am Rhein this weekend, mapsource keeps crashing!!!

Assuming you have a PC and not a MAC,

Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add or remove programmes then delete all the Mapsource bits and pieces. Then re-install the original set-up discs and then the latest mapping upgrade you have.

Don't forget the unlock codes, they may be on MyGarmin.

Then go back to the Garmin site and download / install the mapsource version you want.

Hopefully, it has worked for me, but ................. :eek:
