Motoaventures have asked me to arrange my own repatriation insurance for the Jan 5-12 trip and recommended an insurance company called Ambrose Darby. What are other GSers thoughts or experiences?

Also, do I take my offroad gear ie light weight and body armour or my Rallye2 suit with the liner?

Any thoughts appreciated.

What's your concern about the company Moto Aventures has suggested?

Most of the area you will be in is over 3000 ft above sea level and it's winter. On the positive side you are fairly far south and in the rain/snow shadow of the High Atlas Mountains. Mornings and evenings could well be cold, midday will hopefully be warm and sunny. So you should plan for all eventualities.

One option is to take the armour out of the rally suit (taking just outer and liner) and to also take offroad armour and long sleeve top, then mix and match. I wish I had done that in October!

Look out for a weary 1200GSA rider in Er Rachidia. And say hello to Su.

Cheers Tim. No concerns about the company, just wondered what other people have done and costs.
