Hi there,Just getting to grips with how to post on the forum,had the GS 3 months now and still impressed,few mods like laminar lip ,tobinators which do the job for me ok.
Was hoping to get 60 mpg instead of 50mpg but only 1500 miles yet.

Hi and welcome aboard.

I think 60 mpg is a vain hope unless you ride very, very gently. I regularly got 45 mpg out of my '04 R1200GS with a full Remus system and a Laminar Lip. The lip does seem to hurt the fuel consumption a bit. I haven't worked out the consumption on my recently acquired '07 bike, yet.

I calculated i get about 53MPG on my 07 1200 GS, thats mainly motorway miles with not much breaking tipping along around 80.

Thanks for the welcomes and advice on mpg,improved the range a bit now i have done the tank mod,overfilled today though and petrol spilled through onto hot exhausts scarry moment,make note need to fill up more carefully, thanks again Chip
