Managed to buckle and knock out of true, through energetic riding :augie my 21" front wheel.
Bmw do not sell rims, only complete wheels @ 630 pounds. Do any of you know different? is it the same rim as r100gs but anodised bronze?

touratac want 824 pounds

HPN 663 pounds

woody's 667 ponds on billet hubs with excel rims and wavy disc

Devon rims, Morad rim on stock hub for 257 pounds.

Are Morad rims any good they used to be acron is this right?

Any more suggestions? which would you go for?
I know if i go to all of the above other than BMW, I will have to have a rear to match

try hagons they repair damaged rims

Thank you John, I did. But no go, they didn't want to repair the rim. :tears
But would rebuild if I could supply new spokes and rim. BMW don't list a rim as separate item.

Tried Motorworks no 21" front rims available for HP2, spokes are no problem for stock rims. Hagons is just down the road from where I work, would love to use them.
Another option: If I could get Excel or Behr rims but then I think you need double ended nipple spokes, and get Hagon to lace them I would, but no luck so far:blast

I will be ordering a set of woody's 18/21 excel monster spoke rims with the billet hubs next month, i have seen the finished product and it is nice .....not cheap but either is the quality.

Today I decided to ordered a Woodys billet hub and Excel 21"front wheel with wavy disc.:D

Apparently 6 pounds lighter than stock so will be loosing some unsprung weight,
the scales will be coming out when it arrives will keep you all posted.:thumb

And so will Woody be with your cash :D

37 more squids than the BMW dealer,:mmmm but hay you also get a lighter wheel and a new disc so its really the cheapest option :D and that is the official line given to my other half:hide

Its here Woody's Wheel

Nice work :)

Stock HP wheel comes in at 7.30kg

Woody's comes in at 5.40kg

Fitted just plug in and play included in deal from Chris, disc and wheel bearings.

So why did I go for the Woody's well that's a unsprung weight saving of 1.9kg and with 1 to 6 ratio (if that is correct) thats like losing 11.4Kg from the bike, or me going on the Atkins diet for the rest of my life :bow

Just got to get a rear now, 18" I think:mmmm

Wheel porn! The front looks great!

I could be tempted by Woody's wheels as well.. I just can't justify the cost  I'd be interested in if you feel a difference when riding. I imagine that losing the weight on front wheel will really help with steering, especially on the road.

Let us know how you get on :thumb2

Wheel porn indeed......:clap...... go for the 18 rear and a whole new world of tyre choice is opened up, nice one:thumb

Will report back Later Mav on the handling, would not have gone down this route if BMW sold front rims or I could have found a rim from another source like the Morad as that can be supplied with 40 holes, and then the problem would be lacing it to the BMW hub just not right. So out of all the after market suppliers Woody's was my choice.
So when I go for the rear 18" do I need to have it built with a offset to allow for wider profile tire.:nenau

I have not heard anybody mention an offset when it comes to the 18 woody rear, i have run a 150 rear with no problems on the stock rim.......but ask Chris at woodys, he will know for sure.

Mav went out for most of yesterday for a ride, steering is a lot quicker and has a light feel. As for the lumps and bumps a lot smoother over speed humps front did not leave the tarmac like it did before. felt good:cool

Where can I contact Woody's???

Thanks...:thumb2
