I'm off to revisit the Somme and then go and explore the Normandy beaches in May with my brother. On the way down I'm looking to visit the following places and just wondered if anyone has any info/advice???
Amiens Prison - 18Feb44 Operation Jericho
I think the prison is roughly at N49 54.495 E2 19.413, just down from the CWGC cemetery where the raid commander, Group Captain Pickard now rests.
Dieppe - 19Aug42 Operation Jubilee
Aiming to head for Dieppe and ride along the sea front looking for memorials etc...
Bruneval Raid - 27/28Feb42 Operation Biting
I'm having a bit of trouble locating the radar site so am hoping there are road signs in the vicinity???
