There are horse thieves operating in the Cleveland / North Yorkshire area. We recieved a warning yesterday of pikey types walking fields with horses in taking pictures of said animals. They were spotted at a friend of ours and on inspection of her boundaries a fence had been "modified" to allow trailer access :spitfire
They have also been spotted around the whitby area and the police have been notified, not sure if there doing anything though.

Don't you just love the weeks leading up to Appleby Horse Fair.
Those lovable, cheeky, fun , guys keeping alive ancient family traditions.

I have a static caravan not far from appleby.......you have to lock everything away........or the nice travellers like to borrow things off you....

Best check it's still there and hasn't been "cleared" away:

65 arrested out of 10,000 that lot would never make it as football hooligans - poor show - might as well burn them all for daring to have a different way of life to us normal folk.

And only 20 tons of rubbish - the traveller community should sling them out of the club for that effort, that's only 0.002 tons of rubbish each - shame on them :nono

Well we're all entitled to our opinions. So here's mine. Run the thieving basserts out of the country. Anyone who just wants to take and give back nothing isn't deserving of the rest of society's tolerance or possessions.

The freedoms we all enjoy are dependent on us all playing by the rules. Step outside of that and you get what you deserve. Which by the way is a shoddy detection rate and an even worse conviction rate with piss poor consequences. Hay ho......

Just got an email from local plod - 3-5 men in a 4x4 with horse box taking pictures of horses with possible intention of selling them after stealing them - they drove off after being spotted by local villager. This was in Sudbrooke, near Lincoln a few days ago
