Just to say hello, back to biking January this year after 18 years away, firstly on a Buell Ulysses, lots of fun but just too tall for my short body and a little concerned about spares availabilty in Europe where I hope to be spending a lot of riding miles. So changed to ex-demo 08 R1200GS recently. Much easier to ride and just as much fun. Poodling about so far plus one ride with local AIM group, kept up OK with lads on MV's and other exotica (probably due to the lead rider setting the pace with me in mind but nevertheless...). No complaints about bike's handling on narrow twisties at speed. Hoping to take it to Southern Spain in autumn for first long ride but am looking at BMW off road course first with a friend who has done it once and found it a lot of fun (now bruises have faded anyway!)
