I've just realised that the set of systems panniers i have for sale are the same key as the ignition.
Do i just get another key cut,or does the propective purchaser rebarrel the panniers and if so how is this done,i cant see how the locks would come out.
Having said that i dont have the best technical mind.
Thanks for any help/advice.

Steve

On the old plastic ones you carefully removed the barrel, inserted the key filed off the protruding bits of each gate and reinserted the barrel. hey presto:)

You can get a kit of tumblers to change the 'coding' of the key barrels in the panniers.....or a lock/key set.

It`s very easily done if you read and follow the instructions.

A Forum Search will also produce the info but you`re likely going to need the parts anyway.

The likes of Motorworks et al should sort you out.

If you just get another key cut someone else will have a duplicate of your ignition key....not an ideal situation.

The simple way is to sell your panniers minus locks.

I just took out the two 'bits' that were preventing the lock working with my key - in theory that makes it less secure. but in reality makes no difference. took 2 minutes per lock.
