Standard tool kit

Hi there.
I am the proud owner of a GS1150 Adventure (2002, 32k miles). Love the bike. 500 miles racked up and heading for Barcelona next month. I am sorry to say that the under-seat tool kit is missing. May I ask you fine folk what tools you would consider essential to carry on the journey. Were there any specialist tools that would have been in the standard tool kit that I should seek to replace. Many thanks in advance.

Ello......:pullface

Just a big hammer, That should cover it. :D

Torx bit to fit brake and cylinder heads (sizes vary but mine are T45 and T40 respectively).
Size 10 box wrench
Size 3 allen key for valve adjustment (15 and 30 feeler guages).
Spark plug removal took
Phillips and flat screwdriver
zip ties
wheel repair kit (check with Slimbo of this parish for a set).
Emergency tenner just incase I need a burger and can't wait till I get home!

Can't think of anything else I use... at home I'd have a torque wrench and a nice ratchet drive but you can do without in an emergency.

I just just look at your bike and think about what you may linke to take off. I carry a size 13 box wrench and sizes 5 and 6 allen keys to get off my panniers and other bits off.

Hello, dont bother with the BMW puncture repair kit,get yourself a CRAFTY PLUGGER (07816 148275),top invention a lot easier to use.Enjoy your trip

Many thanks Canuck and Argos. Got a Tx-star set on order arriving tomorrow. Wanted to drop my back wheel out this weekend to get a new tyre. I couldn't get the brake calliper off without one.:blast

you might want to get a C spanner for adjusting shock pre-load?Cheers
