lubing my chain and it seemed as though my brake was binding (slightly)
however it wasnt, its my engine causing drag, seems quite a lot, ie the rear wheel wont spin freely,
is it normal on these???
ps, its not the chain

Has your chain got a spilt link?

If so, seperate the wheel from the engine by taking the chain off (check for branches & wildlife stuck around the g/box spocket) & then spin the wheel. (that'll tell you if the problem is transmission based)

If it's still dragging you then you can rule out the engine - remove the brake pads & try again.

If it's still dragging concentrate on wheel bearings.

as i said, its, NOT the chain or wheel or brakes, its the engine:thumb2

I assume that it IS in neutral??

So it has to be the gearbox. Take the cover off the drive sprocket and perhaps remove the sprocket too. Are there twigs, leaves, shit, rope etc caught around the sprocket?

in gear wouldnt be stiff, itd be solid, no, its in neutral
nope, its in the engine, just feels tight, sprocket dont spin freely, it works ok though

no, its around/ in the gearbox area of the engine,(integral gearbox engine unit ,better? )
all i wanted to know is if everyone/anyone else has it? all my other chain drives, far as i can remember spin freely in neutral at the gearbox sprocket, this un seems unusually stiff

the good mr oonyak has maybe given me the answer, bout the spacer

smarmy twat for your first posting, u will go far on here:D
