Any idea where I can get my hands on one of those fleeces that yer can put on the seat as I plan to be doing a few miles down round France and spain in a couple of weeks time.

(don't tell me to skin a live one like this.)

Ged - I got one I never used - you can try it out and see if you like it....

someone posted this....

I fancy trying a seatpad - my arse certainly grumbles after a few hundred miles on a stock K12S seat

guilty of original posting [ i think]
i have two sheep pet pads.
first one still on the GS and about 6 years old.:bow:bow:bow
second one[spare]
[i bought 3 years ago thinking the first one would wear quickly]:blast wrong.
highly recommended :thumb
PS,
I now use an "AIRHAWK" :bow:bow and use the sheepskin on top.:thumb

Thanks for everyone replying.

David's going to lend me his for my trip, so no sore butt this time.

Heading off on the 12th, partying with my son on the 14th. Can't wait.

Reminds them of their "lost love".

Hmm, I've just ordered one.:rolleyes::blast

What does a fleece actually do?
Keep you cool, warm, more comfier (like an Airhawk), would you take it off in the rain?

yes,
yes,
yes[but not as good],

I love my sheepy
especially on long trips
I made two loops of velcro and elastic ( velcro stays on top of yer seat )
got some 2"velcro strips and stiched it to leather side of the sheepy
its been on me XT and GSPD and 1150 - one size fits all
pull it off and shake if it gets soaked - dry in two shakes
Its a pillow stuffing when I camp
Got it for nowt - 2 quid for the velcro and elastic from a habadashery
cool when sweltering and warm when its cold
saves numb bum
brilll bit of kit :rob :thumb2

Local Butchers...

Hi, best place is your local butchers for fleeces, you can then choose pink, yellow, blue, natural, white, black etc etc. maybe not all have them but if anyone is stuck i can let them have a number for a very friendly butcher that has them.
Alternatively I could maybe see about getting our sheep skins cured and supply some, they would all be natural colours, some bits off black and some black, no idea about price, have never made any calls about it before.

I us one on me gs, very good at stopping you get sweaty betty b....ks, leave it on all time whether sunny or rain or snow!

i'd lend you mine, but mine doubles up as a pillow. so after 2 weeks under yer arse, i'm not so sure kristin or i would relish putting our heads on it! david didn't like his when he used it, so i'm sure if you offered him a £1 you could relieve him of it.

Are you saying I've a smelly arse ?

It's all in your head.

Couldn't see what sitting on a bit of fleece would do to help with comfort seeing as as soon as your arse is on it its compressed flat.
But tried one anyway, waste of time IMO no difference from stock, bought an Airhawk instead now that DOES make a difference. Even better now I have a Sargent seat.
