TTR2 & US Maps - anyone done it ?

I want to use my TTR2 in US & Canada soon. Am happy to buy new mapset but a bit confused about whether it'll work.

I could buy North America Mapset (Optimised for 2Gb) but do I need to download this and load it onto a blank 2Gb SD card ?

My TTR2 says it has only got 1Gb memory. Is that cos the the card that came with the TTR2 (with the europe maps on) is just a 1Gb card ?

Anyone actually done this ? In practice ? With success ?

Yes, I bought and downloaded the North America and Canada maps in February and it works fine. If you're planning on buying the complete US and Canada map set then you will need to put it on a 2gb card; I think it's something like 1.6gb in total.
