Well its this time of the Year again.
Some guys from the XRV forum and myself are planning to go to the Elephant rally in Bavaria.
So i just wondered if anyone from here would like to join us?The 5 of us are planning to leave on the 28th Jan make our way to Mainz and stay over in the youth hostel there(450miles or so). Next morning we leave to Bavaria(300 miles +-).The same again on the way back

I'll defo be keeping an eye on this thread. Having done the Dragon 5 or 6 times in the past, I've always fancied doing the Elephant.
Have you done it before? If yes, on past experience, how good/bad are the road conditions?

where are you starting from? I'll start from london!

and it's not a rally, but a big meet!:thumb

I'll camp in my tent, but i will not come back in uk, at the end of the elefantentreffen i'll come back to italy

Watch out for 2 british urals that will prob be us!
Maybe the Bavarian one 2011

Seems to be a few 'plucky' Brits on the ADV Riders forum going too.

For sure we WILL be going to Bavaria in 2011.

Where is it that you are staying on the way down? Is it cheap and secure for the bikes? I hate taking all the kit off the bike at bedtime and loading it back for breakfast :(

Sadly I can't come to Bavaria too as all my winter passes have been used on the Dragon and Elefant.
