Hi folks
Next September, a group of us will be cycling from London to Paris to raise money for the Royal British Legion as part of their annual "Poppy Bike" ride and I wondered if I could encourage any Tossers into signing up for the trip. It's a fantastic event leading up to being escorted by police motorcycle outriders to the Arc de Triomphe.
At 280 miles in 4 days, it's reasonably challenging but certainly doable for most people with a bit of preparation (hence the advance notice). The route passes through places liberated by Allied Forces in 1945. The French seem just that little bit better than us at remembering what went on around that time and their support for the event is a little humbling.
Anyway, have a look here if you might be interested:

I'll be flogging a load of stuff over the next few months on this site so if you don't like the idea of making progress to Paris on two wheels without an engine, consider buying some of my old tat as all proceeds will be going to the Legion.
Cheers
Dave
