Not sure if this is the right forum so forgive me! :)

I would like to start doing allot more to the bike at home, nothing to adventurious. just changing chain and sprokets, brake pads ETC. Anyone have a good book that covers the basics and explains bike maintenance.

Cheers:)

I wouldn't bother with a book - just google and search the forums for how to do stuff. You only really learn when you actually do it.

Buy a wreck of a bike and do it up - that'll learn you good and proper :thumb

Haynes do a basic bike repair book, but, if you do not have much idea i would not be touching a bike. Well! not unless i had some help that is, remember you ONLY have two wheels two brakes and if you ****up on anything you may pay for it..Get help to start with.

As stated above buy a banger and play with that first, good luck.

Cheers guys, I have a cheap 125 that I've been playing with. Tis time to bit the bullet and start on the BMW!
