I have done the unthinkable and bought myself a laptop, the problem is that I want to use my laptop as the "home" for my Garmin Zumo 660, this is to allow me to use it to plot routes whilst away from home. It is currently registered on my desk top computer along with all of my waypoints/routes etc - oh, and my US maps.
How do I move/register everything to my laptop ?

Please bear in mind that I am a complete novice with Pcs, so, an idiots guide would be helpful - and not along the lines of, if hes got a pointy hat, large shoes and bells, hes probably an idiot - or should that be a fool ?:blast

Thanks in advance,

Rich.

I have Mapsource installed on three PC's without a problem and own just one 660.

The maps are linked to the GPS unit, not to the number of PC's.

Ditto but with a Zumo 550.

You shouldn't have a problem just loading up on more than one PC.

Thanks guys,

Sorry about the delay in replying but thanks.
However - when I bought my Zumo 660, I am sure I updated the maps etc as the original disc was already out of date. This was done over the internet and was a free update as part of the purchase deal, if I remember correctly.
Did you guys just install the original disc on your secondary computers or did you then have to do an update afterwards ?

Thanks - again,

Rich.
