As it says...a tad off topic.... but have any of the learned throng got any idea how much a new friction plate would cost (fitted) into said K100Rs (circa 85)?

Replace the complete clutch unit, not just the friction plate..
Approx Cost all parts and labour would be around £400ish.
That's if the silencer comes off the downpipes and none of the footrest hanger bolts snap off.

Apparently 'tosser' now officially applies to certain K100 riders....
my Dad...yes....74 year old Dad...fixed it ....shoved some 'plus gas' down the activating rod between lever and end housing.... he noticed it didnt come back all the way......suddenly we have traction!
