Me & the missus are off to the Black forest for a week, setting off in 2 weeks. Any places of interest, roads, places to stay etc are most welcome please.

We were there last September. The whole region is nice. No major "must see" but loads of pretty villages, rivers, valleys and woodland.
Just chill, travel for a bit, stop for a coffee, travel a bit further, stop for an ice cream. You get the idea. Great beer and good food in the evenings. Very relaxing holiday.

......but DON'T ride it on a bank holiday weekend - I led a group from the VFR Club down it at the end of May and the traffic was horrendous. The L-roads which run parallel to it were deserted and much more fun.
Also check out Heidelberg - it has a lovely old city
