I've read about people using car GPS on their bikes, so I plan to use my wife's 1490. When it comes to power I have read a lot on here but I'm still not sure if I understand if what I plan to do will work.
I thought about buying a connector from Nippy Normans for the front power socket near the headstock, and also buying a mini usb power lead with an inline voltage reduction from buybits. What I would then do is chop off the powerlet fag lighter connector thing and put the Nippy connector on.
Would that work?
