not sure if this is in the right palce or not but here goes

I've just been to pick up a vehicle and we came back via Gotenburg Sweden, using DFDS ferries.

finding the port at Gotenburg is really easy, however to find DFDS desk is hard, it's in thef reight terminal which is over the big bridge...:blast after my 6 time past the wheel thing (like london eye full of swedes) and over the bridge I thought Iw as getting the hang of it... I was wrong....

the best thing on hindsight is to find the best western hotel in Arken (now your the right side of the port, freight services are conviently hidden behind a big bush and some rocks. Just follow the smell of stale piss....:thumb2

(truck terminal).....:augie when you get in to the freight terminal you'll need to take a ticket or you'll be standing about for ages waiting for your turn...:blast

I got messed about some more I had become the replacement driver and nobody had my details ... which caused abit of...erm agg....:augie

they'll process you and will send you back to P6 right next door to the hotel, then you get picked up by a guard and taken into the frieght terminal....

the Boat, ferry is alright about 200m long but it's only got about 12 ish cabins, there was only three people joining from there.

Seems there two sailings the 15.00 and the 21.00

15.00 goes up to Norway (brevick) before heading for Immingham (near Grimsby)

the boat was clean and tidy but not much to do, so bring a book. the last time I took this ferry (10+ years) it was nothing more than a portacabin bolted to a large sort of landing craft full of sweaty truckers watching porn....

I'm glad to report this time it was alright the new boat is about 6 years old and it had a nice area to watch films on a new format VHS...:blast Soon they'll do Tilbury to Gotenburg which sounds alright. The bloke who took the truck over said finding the place at Immingham was a total nightmare... Guess it being freight there's no money spent on advertising... Which to be hinest they could do :augie

I have no idea how much it cost but there was a Bloke (GSER's with his 1200 on it heading for Norway and a few Norwegian Triumph riders joined the boat heading for the UK for a holiday...:thumb2 A nice bunch of blokes all and all

I took a few pictures if anyone is interested/ if it helps....

hotel info which is about 2 Km from freight terminal
