Despite the name, the Mountain Rescue Service England & Wales has made record rescues of off road motorcyclists this year. Quarries seem to be the most over subscribed areas, many riders losing the track and finding nothin but air and rocks below. The emergency services rarely have the equipment, experience or manpower to put out teams of experts to tackle these calls, and the MRS are then used as rescuers for these unusual circumstances. @Funds4Rescue are now on twitter and asking off roaders to consider helping the totally volunteer run service (no help from the goverment). With their 24-7/365 call out by trained men and women, MRS need regular help so visit twitter or serch Mountain Rescue Enalnd and Wales for details how you can help.
