Icmeler holiday advice wanted

Taking SWMBO for her 50th birthday to Icmeler for 8 days next week. Would anyone like to suggest things to do, places to go, etc while we're there.

We're hiring an 8 seater micro-bus as SWMBO's sister, hubby, and our 2 kids are coming too.

we "did" Ephesus a couple of years ago during a cruise, driving from Kusadassi. It was a great site. It looks a little far to travel though from Icmeler / Marmaris?

Someone also told me that Pamukkale (the white springs & pools) isn't worth a visit - it's not white anymore but a poluted dull cream colour due to the sun cream washing off the tourists, and most pools are now closed.

Also pay a visit to the nearby town of Sirince; famous for its home-made wines.

Icmeler - holiday report

Well to answer my question:

Icmeler is about 6Km down the coast from the bigger resort of Marmaris.

It's layout is a Kilolometre-long, 15metre deep beach covered in sun beds and parasols.
Then the 'promenade' walkway.
Then the hotel grounds.
Then the street layout of hotels without sea frontage, plus bars.
Then shops (leather and jewelry)
Then the hotels with a 600 metre walk to the sea.
Then the locals' houses.

It's very clean with no flies / mozzies / wasps.

A few good bars, and some excellent local restaurants.

We stayed All Inclusive at the Aqua. Probably only bettered by the Marti Resort Hotel. Food was excellent.

"Things to do" - all the usual Ringos / banana boat / day boat trips / Jeep safaris / Quad Bike riding.

Opinion: excellent if you just want to lay by the pool or beach and sunbathe. Not a lot of attractions for decent day trips out.
