I'm looking to mount my (aftermarket) tyre pressure readout on the handlabars and would like to make a mount using the existing bolt that goes in through the cast alloy bar riser and screws into the tubular handlebar. (2010 R1200RT)

(Was trying to attach a pic but cant - not sure why)

According to the RepRom, you 'should not dismantle the handlebar as it would result in damage' making the bar impossible to reassemble. I suspect this means do not dismantle the whole bar, and removing the bolt then putting in a longer one with my fitting on it would be ok, but does anyone know for sure?

Thanks, Mark

Have a look here. It's an 11RT but I'm sure you could rig up something similar on your 12? A much neater solution IMO and you may have room to attach another item such as a GPS?

Thanks, thats just the kind of thing I was looking for. Once it warms up a bit I'll be out in the workshop...
