I posted a few days ago asking for opinions regarding pros and cons of the 1150 and 1200 and 'Franco' asked to see some piccies of my 90s. Without wishing to upset the GS purists, I've attached three photos and as you can see, I had a bit of an argument with a Renualt 20 some years ago!
Unlike some others, I can prove that all those stories of 'pots being knocked off' are actually true....but I thank the stars that I was riding a BM with 'sticky out bits' and not a parallel twin, for example, as I don't know what would have happenend to my right leg!
Hopefully ther renovation was worth it.......what do you think?
I'm taking out a 1150 tomorrow so the great GS decision making process continues.
Cheers.

She's a real beauty. Post some more pics. :D Amazing a Renault 20 was sturdy enough to bend some German metal.

Funny enough, I'm going out on a 1200 tomorrow, see what I think. We'll compare notes after :thumb

Rob

p.s. we can't even take the piss out of your drive needing weeding either ;)

Fence could do with a coat of something :augie

No question then. If you've got a 90 then an 1150 would be the best luddite stable-mate :D Here's my 2 girls ...

Hi, Took a friends 1150 out today and was impressed. It has been 'Power Commender'd' plus Remus and I really liked it.
Yes, it's a bit slower than the 1200 and I guess that the 1200 is slicker overall but in the real world I think it is what I am after.
The only issue I had was at a filling station, I manhandled the bike forward to clear the pump after filling up, and forgot about the servo brakes and the effect no engine run has on them!
As you say Wanderer, I think the 1150 would be a good stablemate to the 90and the HP2s (photo attached - riding like an old fart at Cadwell!)
Now to convince the missus!

By the way, the fence is the wifes responsibility - but don't tell her I said so!
