Brand new delivery mileage went through the salvage auctions ( cat "E" ) insurance repaired, which means it was minor damage, repaired by the insurance, and the customer refused it, wanted a new one as such low mileage, it sold for £2950, still had the white grease on the chain, but it was the beige colour, was this a good price, as i don't normally touch 650's .

Are you referring to the colour of the 'white' grease on the chain, or the bike itself as being 'beige'? as they don't do an F650GS in beige. :D

Also links of your website at www.gsshop.co.uk to *GS Servicing* and *GS parts* don't (currently) work. Just get "Forbidden, perhaps you need to change the file permissions for this document or upload an index page."

Cheers ..... Trevor, Bristol, UK. UK & Ireland F650 website.

alright then, bike colour was "hearing aid yellow"

- FLESH COLOURED --

now get back in your box and stop being so pedantic .

:D :D

Yep - that's what I'm saying. The F650GS wan't produced in that colour. I'm wondering if it might be a low-mileage Funduro you've got, which I think was produced in a beige/flesh-coloured colour.

Have you got a pic we can see?

I wasn't being pedantic, just trying to be helpful and establish just what you've bought, so we can say whether you've got it for a *good* price, or not :)

The F650GS has only been produced in Red, White, Black, Bright Yellow, Silver, Pale Metallic Blue (Titan blue), and Dark blue.

Here's some examples.

I haven't bought it, re-read, i just wondered if it was good value.

and it was a GS , i service a couple of them , so do know what they look like.

:D

Sorry neil...tried to clear up ya cockup but i'm not mod in technical..........

So yahhh booo sucks!!!!!!:p :p

Looks like you'll have to dig out Stella again ;)

It's alright - no one reads the 650 section.

I never do.

I'm still mystified by this. If it was beige or flesh-coloured it can't have been a brand-new F650GS as BMW just don't make the F650GS in that colour. Please someone else back me up on this. Spout - you know these things :)

Some folks refer to the Funduro and Strada models as the GS, so I'm wondering if this is where some confusion may have risen, as some of the F650 Funduro and F650ST (Strada) models did come in beige, but they were discontinued in 2000, so that would not have been a *good* price for whoever bought it, unless it was considered as a *collectors* bike.

Who knows ? Is it likely that a year 2000 bike would still be hanging around in a showroom, to be sold at auction as new?

This is the only image of a beige F650 (Funduro) I can locate on the w-w-w. Sorry about the sidecar. They didn't sell many in that colour BTW. I wonder why :D

the only thing i can think of is, that when it had an accident, perhaps it was resprayed a custom colour -- it was a GS, just a different colour .

I've got a pair of beige shoes if that's any help Trevor

Not a nice colour for a motorcycle. Beige ones tend to be low mileage as their owners are only let out into the community at weekends :D
