Salisbury Plain info + rideout

Hi, could someone give me basic info on off roading on Salisbury Plain please.
Is there an open day when the tanks aren't rolling?
Are the tracks clearly marked?
Is there a B+B close by?
Any other info you think might be useful.

Thanks in advance, if anyone would like to have a ride out in 2-3 weeks time with 3 northerners on a wr250, beta 450 and a hussy 450 you would be welcome.

Do a search on the forum, there are a load of threads from me, LostThePlot, Bakerman and others about riding on the plain.

Sometimes you may come across a closed road but the plain is always accessable, in as much as you and anyone else can ride legal BOATS that are marked on the OS Explorer map.

Salisbury plain

Have ridden the plains many times and it can be an amazing place. Here is the telephone number for the armies automated announcement service 01980 674763. It is worth listening to it as it gives "safe times" for the ranges.
If the red flags are flying then stay away!
