About 4 years ago, when I was looking for a GS, one option was to buy in Germany at prices significantly lower than here.
A guy I work with is thinking of selling his 2002 R850GS and was wondering what the market value was. I suggested maybe €3000 - 3500 on good day.
We did donedeal and the mobile.de to see what the Germany prices were.

What happened in the Germany market?
MY own bike would be priced there at more that I paid for it here, have a look at this

Anyone in Germany want to buy a cheap (for you) R1150GS?

Bit of a shock, isn't it?

There's a very basic Twin-Spark 1150GSA up for 7.5K Euro. Not even with panniers.

More GS's were sold in Germany than any other market so you'd think it logical that so many to choose from would mean lower prices.

I can understand why non-German market bikes don't sell well there, the regulations about every add-on bit of kit requiring a TUV certificate would make buying a foreign registered GS a nightmare in paper-work.

R100GS

i bought mine in Frankfurt.
:mmmm
Wonder if I could sell it back there. :augie :D
