Back in the fold

Hi all,

After a 3 and a half year gap I have bought another GS. Originally had an 1150 then traded it for a 1200 which I sold due to lack of use in Feb 08 as I couldn't justify £8k sat in the garage not being used - 2 year old son and very busy job were my excuse.

Fortunately I kept all my kit so only had to buy the bike which is a 2003 1150 Adventure in black twin plug (were all Adventures twin plugs?). Its not perfect cosmetically but needs love and elbow grease rather than money - and talking of money, I thought it was pretty good at £3100 privately with full history and 39k showing.

Best bit was £100 comp insurance as I am officially middle aged.

Pick it up today and can't wait.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello, again, promise I won't leave this time as this is a keeper!

Thanks for the welcomes. It is so great to have a GS again, I have already been looking at the advice on how to clean black engines and dull exhausts.

Great advice from a great site.

Hope to make it to some of the socials one the bike is back in one piece.
