thinking of changing the clear screen on my 1150gsa for a dark tint one , but was thinking about applying some diy. dark tint (from halfords) . anybody tried this? would it work? and stay on? it would be a very much cheaper alternative if it did .....any ideas ?

I used that stuff on the rear window of a transit van I used to own, it was bad enough trying to get it on a flat piece of glass, I can't imagine how much fun it would be on something the shape of a GSA screen. It's not like vinyl that can be stretched and heated to shape, the tint stuff is more like cellophane, once it creases that's it.
