Hi all,

despite the low outside temperatures (-3 degrees C when I wheeled the XR400 out) - my friend Roy and I decided to go for a ride out on the local trails.

we first went towards the local byways to the East of Wokingham. Most puddles where still frozen and made a nice crackling noise as I rode through...

I took a first picture of the tools and Roy as we stopped for a break to warm our hands...

Than we headed back to through Wokingham to Barkham and on through the Coombes - which was muddy and loads of horse riders, walker etc...so we went very carefully and stopped several times. From there you cross the B3030 and ride towards the back of Nirvana Spa. Than on to Farley Hill and the lanes there...we stopped and Roy took a photo of me and the XR400.

today I came across a closed byway today and took some photos etc. see below...
it was open on New Year's eve - as I did ride it that day since the 3rd of January 2012 has been closed.

the other lanes on Farley hill were open if a bit frosty... :D

finally we went back through the Coombes and I got Roy to film the litte Ford crossing I did...

anyway I got home fine and just finished washing the bike and me  .
it warmed up nicely during the day and we covered about 35mls in total.
not bad for a little local run.

enjoy,
Lars
