One problem, Bill

Those 900RR's never went on general sale, whereas the Katooms in the vid are pretty normal stock bikes:blast

I'd argue that the HP2 is a GS, just marketted differently to seperate the adventure touring orientated GS from the off-road HP version, a truer equivalent of the KTM.

You can even watch dozens of videos of wee-powered airheads doing stuff equally impressive as your original video, no, scrub that, far MORE impressive too.

I concede that an out of the box Katoomer 900 adv with the same pilot is going to be better at some things than an out of the box GS, but a well ridden GS could do that video easily (and no, I couldn't)

What my HP2 thinks of the 950Adv :D

Like comparing a Hummer with a Landrover:thumb

I hope you noticed that the Hummers were beaten by Minis in the Dakar

To be fair, I actually think the 950Adv is a great off-road bike

HP2's are NOT GS's:blast

If you want to use the HP2 as an example of BMW's amazing big bike off road prowess then compare it to the KTM 950 SE.

The needle returns to the start of the song ................

If there's a video of a GS/GSA being ridden in the same vein as the OP's video then I'd love to see it!

And no videos of Simon Pavey riding over some 4' high mounds of mud in a car park somewhere!

+1

Oranges and Apples - a HP2e is not a GS, for a start it weighs 40 kg less at least

Out the crate, that 950Adv is amazing in the vid

having owned both i can confirm the above the KTM is pure animal and will take pretty much anything in its stride leaving you wide eyed and screaming:p

The GS requires you do things at a more leisurely pace so the smoke from ones pipe does not blow in ones eyes:D:D:D

i loved em both and miss them in equal measure:(

what you dont know is it was really Tim riding in that Vid:aidan
