What are your recommendations for a great pair of gloves for Trail / Enduro riding during summer.

I have a pair of AlpineStars Chill Drystar gloves for riding trails during autumn and winter and generally when it gets cold.

On my last trail ride with a few great fellas from here, I used my Sinisalo waterproof gloves which I bought from a member here.
It was a hot day and my hands soon became hot and sweaty and when I pulled my hands out of the gloves, the glove liner is loose and came out too. :(
Getting the damp sweaty liner back inside the gloves was awkward, fiddly and time consuming.

What gloves are best for riding trails during summer?

Cheers, :beerjug:

Rich.

I use Klim Inversion, they are waterproof and good for a wet summers day (we get lots of them!) Link below.

Klim Dakar are good when it's hot & sticky. Link below.

Klim Powercross for winter riding, very good and the inner lining stays where it is when you take them off.

PS. It may look like I work for Klim, but I don't:D Just collected these over the years. I've tried a few others but these tick all the boxes for me.

I've worn various BMW GS/Rally gloves for years, very happy with them. I prefer gloves with some sort of hard knuckle protection and judging the scuff and gouges on my gloves, they've done their job.

Same here.......excellent gloves, but was in Cannons today and they've changed the design quite a lot....really didnt fancy the new ones as they have hardly any finger protection, just the knuckle cup thing.

Got a pair, they're just as good although I was a bit dubious about the styling at first.

Forgot I had a pair of these too. I use them in the summer on my 990adv as they give extra protection and are nice and cool when it's hot; good quality gloves but they aren't waterproof.

I have a pair of Alpinestars short motocross gloves which are mesh between the fingers and on the back, carbon over the knuckles and rubber along the fingers! And a thick padding on the outside of the wrist. Can't remember the name of them, but they are the best warm weather glove I've had. They aren't waterproof at all, but that isn't what I bought them for.

Earthmover, they are the alpinestars spx glove. I use them all year round, great fitting and comfortable. I'll be buying them again when these ones finally die.

Been wearing these for all my riding (road and off road) for the last 4 years (muffs fitted in winter, with heated grips....mmmm toasty).

Mega comfy, relatively cheap and fairly hard wearing :thumb

He didn't mention they needed to be waterproof, he wants gloves for summer riding.

I've got a pair of Klim gloves that were desribed as being waterproof but they're from it in reality.

I needed some new gloves for the bike and ended up buying these Sealskinz activity gloves for about £35.
Light enough for summer, warm enough for the odd cold days and waterproof.

Hi JB,

Those Klim gloves look great. The Dakar glove would probably suit my summer riding needs. The Inversion glove could be just right for my summer trail riding.

Cheers,

RD.

Hi Possu,

I've looked at the BMW GS Rallye glove, it looks ideal but £65 is more than I want to pay.
Maximum £50 but £45 is better.

Cheers,

RD.

Hi Mark,

Apparently the AlpineStars SP-X are very good but £65 is expensive.

Cheers,

Rich.

Lidl work gloves.5.99p

Do you wear these gloves while riding? How do they perform, are they up to the job for trail riding?

Lidl do promotions including motorcycle clothing, were the gloves a promo or a regularly stocked item?

£5.99 - The price is excellent. :D

Cheers,

Rich.

They look more road riding orientated. Are they cool in the summer heat?
Have you ever got them wet and muddy in an off the bike moment?
They look like they'd take ages to dry out.

Cheers,

Rich.

Hi Jim,

Sealskinz look waterproof? Do they get hot and sweaty in the heat of summer?
Price is good.

Cheers mate,

Rich.
