I would be interested to hear opinions on gps mounts specifically for TomTom. Particularly mounts which don't involve the handlebars so ideally cockpit mounts.
Cheers for any advice Chaps

I bought a waterproof mount for my XL tomtom. From RiderMount.
The mounting was for 1" handlebars. I made up a 1/2" inside 1" outside tube 1 1/2" long, then cut it in half along the 1 1/2" length. This then clamped to the 1/2" cross bar of the handle bars to provide the 1" diameter required to put the tomtom in my opinion the best position to see without being in my face. Just ran lead down to power point with converter to UK fitting on lead.(on ebay).

Brought a hein gericke sat nav bag for 15 quid mounted it using the existing Velcro and cable ties to the handle bar brace by the clutch reservoir side. Works for me. It's not in line of site but I can glance down at it. Also conveniently near to my 12v socket for powering.
