friend of a friend is selling a Suzuki TLS 1000, 42,000 FOR £800.

Scuffed silencer one side and a few cracks in the plastics, would come with a years MOT.

Mrs. would kill me:eek:

What to look out for on this bike?

buy it - fairing off - single headlight - satin black all over - pair of big trail style bars and you've got a cheap fun bike.

it won't tour

it won't keep you warm

but it'll be a lotta FUN ( anyone remember fun ? )

Hideous, terrible tankslappers due to the oh so novel radial rear shock?

I'm dredging my memory, I was the owner of a much more boring Honda VTR when the way more powerful Suzuki twin hit the streets.
 
i had a beautiful metallic black one with twin open cans - used to set car alarms off.

Check the radiator hasnt been holed too badly
check the clutch!! really thoroughly check the clutch!!!
make sure you have the front damper on
have a peek at the chain/sprocket wear situation

Remember the throttle isnt a throttle - its an on / off switch

I challenge you to wear the front tyre out if you buy it, you wont be able to keep it down.

Someone mentioned widow maker? Yep, thats the one.
