The bike is ready not sure i am but will post bits and pieces as i can over the weekend.
Just fitted some new farkles that arrived this morning just in time aly chain guard, rear brake fluid protector thingy, frame guards, headlight protector.
Ive stuck with the tt gear change but in vain i think will see how it copes tomorrow!
Got some beer and a curry to keep me going through the olympic ceremony.
I know there is bike and trailer facilities at sweetlamb but the pub car park is just too small so drove around for a fee mins trying in vain to leave it somewhere safe so will see in the morning what that brings!!

So the hotel £60 2 nights b&b i did have to ask twice if she'd taken for two nights!
Rooms fine but ive a double bed and two singles for the night so may have to try them all!
Own shower and toilet just in case you were thinking it was a hostel!

That must be on the upmarket side of B+B's for mid wales!

IIRC the going rate for "average" B+B was about £15/ night :)

Bet the alloy chainguard is lost somewhere on Sweet Lamb tomorrow:blast

The plastic one is definitely stronger and probably lighter too:rolleyes:

I'm guessing it'll be hot and dusty like the rally sprint. Which means you're gonna chew up that rear if you're a bit heavy with the throttle. :D

Commitment, momentum. You'll have a ball. :thumb

Well after basic training this morning we moved on to lets get outside your comfort zone!

Training is brilliant got to say Molly and Bert are fantastic know their stuff inside and out and Molly on that husky is very quick!

As we moved on to faster lines on some pretty loose gravel tracks i found the limit of the air shock rear went one way front went the other! Managed to hold it just about and power out but was close.

Had my go pro on but gave up the ghost later on so will have to see what it looks like tomorrow night but Burt has some pics and vids i will link to tomorrow.

Got to say the bikes there 2x 630 huskys 2 990 adv 1 650gs and a very good rider Dave on 1200gsa yes twin cam newish bike was really good.
By the end of the day we had moved our comfort zones on 75% it really is amazing what these Bikes will do.

Best bit today long arching firetrack flat out in 4 (30mph) into left hander bike all out of shape nailed 2nd and the bike flew.

If your into off road enduro that type of thing come down here for the weekend on a big bike and just really see where these guys take you.

End of day 1 bike holding together fine no offs thankfully and the gear lever seems ok atm, jb all ok on the chain guard as well!!

Just at the caravan after riding all day tailored the bike home jumped on the Gs for the 80 mile ride to see the family before I go home tomorrow for work:eek:

Sunday isn't it funny when you get on the bike the day after and have forgotten what happened yesterday:comfort

So on to vanishing points similar to road riding so you can nail it as much as you can see so same applies fairly straight forward but getting the right line and knowing when to stand and when to sit what does surprise me and has become more apparent is in the fast fire roads and whilst cornering and moving the bike how much time is spent sitting on the bike :thumb2

After the points we moved back to the island to look at all the corners which we were slower on and berms appeared of no where
Anyway to cut a long story short I was going as as fast as I thought not using the berm to shift the bike on so told off as I was at the top of 2nd gear sliding the rear I thought it was pretty good so then Bert tells me in no uncertain terms if you ever want to rally or enduro you will have to use it so next lap came in 3rd gear slower hit the berm bike straightened up and I was away. Hmmmm maybe berts right:thumb
Anyway next lap going in fairly hot in 3rd 45ish slide in to the berm and feck me this really works so in 2 hours from complete muppet to power sliding into berms on full chat amazing training:JB

We did all thecorners in turn making each much easier when you know how:bow

Only real big moment I've had except an off on a small climb stupid mistake:pullface managed to get a little over confident I guess and forgot to brake before mid range for a corner then on the power to slide thought so pretty much flat out in 3rd over cooked the corner attempted then to slide hit the edge and high sided it:( anyway somehow landed on the seat and on the power and saved my arse:blast lesson learnt :thumb

Anyway will post some pics and vid when sorted :bow

This course is fantastic done both BMW courses and learnt more here in 2 hours than all weekend at BMW :clap

Great write up Finn.

You just don't get the sense of commitment Burt & Moly put in to those corners from the videos - Real big balls riding and very impressive.

Anybody thinking about the BBRT course at sweet lamb shouldn't hesitate and go for it - great fun, great lads and great riding
